sell.jpgEvery one says our market is a buyer’s market.  But what does that statement really mean?  Even though buyers have their choice of homes on the market today it does not mean they have to buy the home you show them.  In order to get that home buyers into the home you want to sell them you actually have to sell the home.

For some selling a home in a buyer’s market may seem like the easiest thing on earth.  But in all reality the buyer has their choice of every home on the market.  What makes them want to choose your home?  Follow these top five tips to sell the home to the buyer.

1.  Sell the listing - When looking through hundreds of the home listings the buyer needs something to catch their eye.  In Internet marketing, this catch is known as the call to action.  Making that home listing as attractive to the buyer as possible in writing will help to sell a home.

2.  Use the right signing.  When a potential buyer drives by a home they need to see a sign that is professional.  Handwritten signs are simply not allowed.

3.  Become a car salesman.  A car salesman is told never to allow a potential buyer to leave the lot.  This same mentality can be used in the real estate world.  When potential home buyers view the home or visit an open house they are saying “I’m interested in the home.” Do not allow these potential buyers to simply walk out the front door.  Sell, sell, sell!

In a buyer’s market the real estate professional needs to understand the difference between selling a home and selling a home.  Once the real estate professional understands this difference their home sales and profitability will shoot through the roof.
