Becoming a Better Real Estate Agent
Published by julia | Filed under Buyer / Seller Tips, Real Estate, Shout Outs, Uncategorized
Have you ever wondered why there are real estate agents that sell despite the negative loom over the real estate market? These agents may have the same qualifications as you do, but seem to settle deals faster and with better profit. By now, everyone is facing the fact that real estate is not poised to jump any time soon, but that does not mean the housing market is going to stop us - we must learn how to sell with the best.
The first place to look is at the competitor that is selling more than you. This competitor may be another real estate agent, but that does not always have to be the case. Major retail giants as well as other real estate agents each have their very own recipe for success. Look at the competitor and learn what it is that they are doing to increase their sales or at least maintain them when everyone else is floundering.
The retail giant - for instance. Walking into a major retail store, you may see a certain vibe. A vibe of necessity rather than luxury. There are displays of the things that people need more prominently displayed rather than displays of what people may want. Use this in your real estate business. Selling homes is all about convincing the buyer that the home is what they want and need. Showing them the real positives of the home that will lost over the long haul may help to improve your sales. These can include a larger kitchen, more bedroom space or more bathrooms. This also means showing the client homes that fit their needs rather than their wants. When money is tight, people buy what they can afford solidly, not potentially.
Looking back to the real estate agent, there is nothing wrong with taking note of the practices this real estate agent uses to gain more sales. Sure, you may not be able to talk with the agent face to face and hear what words he or she uses, but you can look at their promotionary tactics and their website and notice what is happening there. Much of the real estate game is about successful marketing. If the client thinks you are the best, they will believe you are the best. But, the real estate agent needs to show that to the client.
Your competitor is the best place to seek out new and improved ideas on selling. Just because that agent is selling more does not make him or her the enemy. It does - however - make them the perfect education station.
