Cleaning a huge home is something that takes time and time is not something everyone has free!

There is a difference between wanting more living space and owning that living space. For families who are growing, the more space may seem like the best option, but what about cleaning that space, keeping that space repaired and owning that space for the next 30 years? This is not to say that the potential home buyer needs to settle for a cramped home for the next 30 years, but they should open their minds to the concept of owning a huge space and caring for that space.

How Can I Get More Space Without the Additional Care?

If you want the extra space but you do not want the extra care on your lap, why not try for a basement or larger open area like a deck or fenced in yard. The outdoors is coming indoors and more homeowners are recognizing the power of the outdoor space as living space, entertaining space and care free space.

Just because you think you need a huge amount of space does not mean you want to care for that space. Thinking about the reality of the price of ownership may have you looking for a home that is a bit smaller than the one you have set in your sights.
