If you would think of it, outdoor kitchens make sense. In the 21st century, outdoor entertainment is popular except that you generally put away the appliances and furniture inside and get new appliances that will fit the outdoor.

Outdoor Kitchen Value

When you viewing for properties with outdoor kitchen, check the amenities and be particular on brand names. Try and look at the kitchen, listing down which items are incorporated in the price. Other outdoor kitchens are moveable and may not be included with the home, so there is no harm in asking.

Take note and come up with a list of each item you see and advise your property specialist to add that list as an addendum to your offer. Know how long each item has been used and if there is a warranty. You can also check online for comparative prices and know if you are paying too much for the property. Keep in mind not unless the property is brand new, mostly all of outdoor kitchens are used and items depreciate.

Amenities

Here a list you may find in an outdoor kitchen:

1.     Grill – check the few popular grill brand names, if it’s Big Green Egg, Dacor, Alfresco, Thermador, Whirpool, Frigidaire, Wolf, DCS, OCI. Make sure to check the width, side grillers and case. Is it moveable or fixed? Does it have a cover? Is it weatherproof? If there is no exhaust hood know where the direction does the smoke blow?

2.     Counters and Storage – a 36-inches and 24-inches wide of counters are preferred. The surfaces are typically stainless steel or porcelain but it could also be tile or stucco. Identify if your storage requirements meets your needs.

3.     Sinks – Usually outdoor kitchen sinks run cold water only but hot water should be considered too, that is way, stainless is the most preferred choice because it will not rust.

4.     Fridge – Outdoor refrigerator should be approved for safety. Is the door reversible? Take note of the number of shelves and material, typically they use tempered glass. Is the unit frost free? Is the case weatherproof? Is it with adjustable thermostat? Is it energy efficient?

5.     Pizza – brick is the usually material being used for oven pizza or wood-fired. Check how do you moderate the temperature and inspect the condition of the vent and chimney.

Pros of Outdoor Kitchens

1.     It is one good way to spend and be surrounded by family and cook. One perfect way to socialize and not feel squeezed inside the house while most of the guests are outside enjoying the sunny weather.

2.     Doing the cooking outside keeps your home sweet home out from heat and help you save on your utility bills. It minimizes the need to go back and forth inside the home because everything you need is in one place.

3.     Your house stays tidy. Cleaning outdoors only needs a simple sweeping or washing off the deck.

4.     Certain foods just taste even better when cooked outdoor. Nothing really compares to a grill flavor.

5.     You have to admit, outdoor kitchens are fun. It is great to be outdoor, relax and sometimes to watch somebody else to the cooking for you.
