There are a lot of interesting collections of side tables on estate sales. Still you can invest on brand new items. This piece can be moved around an area for books and magazines; it is also used for eating for serving drinks, for example. Small tables can be used as coffee table. A side table can be placed in the room next to a bed. It is also a good collection to buy some nestling table as this can be extended out and save some space when required. Side and Nesting tables varies from type, it can be wood, metal or glass-topped.

3.     A Foot Stool

A foot stool can be upholstered, either big or small. Offering not only yourself but guests coming in the house as a perfect footrest and it can also be used as a coffee or tea table. Try getting a pair. Place and use together or apart and put a large tray on top when you are using it for serving. If you will be using it as a foot rest, find a durable type of fabric for cover.

4.     Your Lighting and Lamps

Old houses usually have stark overhead lighting. Put in dimmers on all the wall switches. Install floor or table lamps near a sofa or seating. Having a pair of table, pairs perfectly with lamps. In bed a wall-mounted lamps are great. A sheer fabric lampshade for more light or of metal helps to direct the glow up or down. An overhead track light and can lights may need you to get a professional install as this is difficult to put on. Keep in mind to put on stocks of bulb you will need.
