If you are like some of my friends who are faced in a dilemma of designing an empty room and you do not have any single idea how to go about it. I am here to help. I am giving you few ideas where and how to pick up your designs. If you still do not have any thoughts in your head for your designs that you really love, just continue on choosing until you finally landed on the design that you truly adore.

You start with ART.

When you have a favorite painting that you picture in your head or that you really want to see in your room, stick to it. Travelling is one of the good ways to pick up art designs, much better when you can paint one yourself. Choose a color that stands out in paintings and a few of neutral shades to build the room around. Keep in mind not to overuse any color as this will no longer come out as an accent.

Choosing arts that will really reflect yourself can reveal the style that put in your room. Geometric prints shows modern, landscapes are more conventional but if you want to try to be bold you can do of any art and fit it in your room.

Then Rugs

If you have a plain rug with a color that you love, utilize it and make it as a foundation for your designing. On fabric, pick only one color and one secondary color. A textured rug may be difficult to go with other colors or design but will add illusion of an additional shade and intense.

What’s with the Fabric

If you see a fabric that you love in one of those shops sale, invent your room around it. You do not have to upholster your fixtures but if you can afford to, you are always welcome to do so. Art is like a fabric, it can mix together the style of the room. When you have the fabric that you like, let it create a good impact in your room; as this will not make the fabric out of place. Also, make sure that the fabric blends with room smoothly.

Play with your Paint

Do not fret if you do not have any art piece, a classy rug or an elegant fabric. Go to your local hardware or paint store and choose from a variety of sample cards. Create the shades that reflect what you want in your room. Get a pint of paint for a sample, you can try painting in on a wall and make it stay there for several days to know if the shade works in your room.

Choosing your Furniture

Having a great piece of furniture regardless whether old or new, you already have the basis of a room. Choose the paint color for your wall that will highlight but not swallow up the piece. The design of your furniture can speak so much of your style whether it is modern or country type. Remember to make your piece complement other pieces not to overwhelm each other. You can try to mix and match but you have to make sure that it harmonizes each piece and part of your room.

Placing Accessories

Putting a vase or a bowl of your favorite flowers can make it a good motivation for your room. Usually has a main color and use other color tones to increase the palette and put the room as one.
