There are several factors that will need your undivided attention in regards to keeping within the confines of your budget; the main one being the cost of the actual construction process.

4. Next, there will naturally be some home maintenance expenses and probably a few legal fees to contend with. In this economy, the wise person may want to have a lot of additional insulation installed; maybe even trade out the single pane windows for a much more energy-efficient triple pane glass insert. These things all cost money.

5. Finally, you must finalize all design details, contract deadlines and any added charges that may be accumulating. Make certain that you get everything in writing and keep in constant communication with the builder.
