Published by cravat | Filed under Buyer / Seller Tips, Miscellaneous, Real Estate
Those who have garden are likely to spend more time to make a decision on what to do with the backyard space. Cultivation is a best way to invest. But choosing what to crop is an additional decision. This article will be useful to decide on what type of garden to cultivate in your yard space.
People who are very fond of flower gardens state that their backyard is more beautiful with flowers. Well organized flower garden makes the yard fully with shades and heady scent. Pollinators like butterflies, bees and birds will be easily magnetize by the flower garden and makes your garden beautiful. Your garden will be bloomed throughout the year when it’s planned well. Flower garden owners can also decorate the home with beautiful flowers all day
Some flowers such as lavender and camomile can produce oils that have aroma therapeutic properties. Scents of lavender and camomile flowers are said to soothe and calm the nerves. Other plants, such as roses, are also used for their oils and are incorporated in baths.
Vegetable Garden. While some gardeners like to fill their backyards with flowers, others prefer to fill them with vegetables. Growing your own vegetable garden in your backyard can be a delicious endeavour because of the following benefits:
• Vegetables which are purchased outside in shops are tasteless because artificial pesticides are used to make them grow. When the vegetables are cropped in our own yard usage of pesticides can be controlled.
• To own a vegetable garden some initial investment is must and later on you will get vegetables free of cost from your backyard. Your weekly purchase on vegetables will be much reduced by growing your own vegetables. You can even sell your vegetables to your neighbors and make profit.
Flower and Vegetable Garden
Although some people prefer a vegetable garden than a flower garden for their backyard and vice versa; there is no rule that says that you can’t have both flowers and vegetables in your garden. As a matter of fact, planting some flowers and herbs within a vegetable garden can be very beneficial to your backyard. Flowers and herbs not only make your backyard vegetable garden more aesthetically attractive; it also protects your vegetables from different harmful insect pests. The mixing of herbs and flowers will eventually make your vegetable garden more productive through the following:
• Bees, butterflies and birds are attracted by flowers were vegetables do not. Pollinators will located you vegetable plants which have flowers with nectar content. This will pull more pollinators which will pollinate vegetables and flowers in your garden. Pollinators will be more attracted by white, blue and yellow color flowers for example Cosmos, Sunflowers and Zinnias.
• Almost everyone choose organic food these days may be even you. All are willing to consume food which is free from any kind of synthetic pesticides. You can use the more scientific or organic way of killing insects or pests in your garden. The insects that are considered to be beneficial are the ladybugs, praying mantis and the parasitic wasps. These are attracted to certain flowers and herbs such as the parsley and flowers that are from the aster family.
• There is only one way to protect the crops from insect pest is to grow trap crops by surrounding vegetables. Insects are more attracted to the trap crops and flock them. Once the Trap crops are swamped by insects it’s better to take the traps crops along with the pests.
Anyhow you and your family will be benefited by owning either vegetable garden or flower garden or both. You can keep yourself fit all day and week by putting yourself in the backyard work. Improving your backyard garden will keep fit especially by weeding and cultivating.
